They are unique individuals. Children need a secure, open, supportive and stimulating environment in which they can develop their entire intellectual, emotional and social potential. As an educator my main objective is to help my students reach their goals, providing them with the necessary tools to become confident and capable individuals. Technology is one of the most useful tools that has already been integrated in my classroom to engage and get students involved in their own learning as well as teach them the proper way to use it. As a good professional and overall as an educator I believe that incorporating technology in my classroom provides with endless possibilities for my students. It opens the possibility to have access to effective teaching that meets their needs. Students have the opportunity to practice reading, math at different levels and paces which facilitate their success. It allows me to reach different types of learners and proficiency levels through individualized lesson as well as use it to gather information about their progress to make changes as necessary and plan instruction. In regards on using technology for emergent bilinguals, technology helps teaching and learning more meaningful and fun. Students can practice reading, writing, listening and speaking through interactive lesson on educational websites. It allows English language learners of different levels progress at their own pace. Emergent bilinguals can learn basic vocabulary and practice them in an individualized way through games which makes more enticing for them. Incorporating technology will awake student’s interest and will get more involved in their own learning and education.
