I would underline three aspects extracted from these activities, all promoting the learning by doing, thus making students active and not passive actors of their learning:

-the laboratory approach to investigate arguments/topics, thus encouraging students to use and investigate new tools for the analyses and to solve the problem or answer questions proposed.

- peer to peer cooperation to improve learning as weel as social competence: working in pair or small groups students had to cooperate, listening to each other, suggest hypotheses to explain/solve the problem, discuss and share opinions and so on.

- interdisciplinary approach to investigate arguments/topics thus improving student’s capacity to connect contents and aspects from different subjects.

First of all I must say that astronomy is a topic that attracts students a lot and it is a multidisciplinary knowledge.
Virtual tools like Stellarium are very good and have great teaching potential.
Similar mobile apps make it possible for us to take these experiences to the field and make real observations.
Asking questions, posing hypotheses, doing research in groupand drawing conclusions and explaining them to others is the perfect method to learn in an enjoyable way and with guarantees of success.

All of the three videos show a student-based learning model (through investigation, use of ICT and cooperation-inclusion), a learning by doing method and interdisciplinarity. These foster student's motivation which is important to realize the importance of the school and of learning (towards our longlife learning need). The teacher is the person who teaches, no more in a traditional way, but above all orientatating and leading his/her students to find their own direction and dimension.

In Grade 2 I always do activity with my pupils so that they have experiences about time:
-how much time take one action each of them have choose
-Decide if one minute should be enogh to do sotheymthing each of them have choose.
We use a stopclock or a hourglass for test.

This aims to help them make a more accurate estimate of when 1 minute has passed. Then we do experiences about 5 minutes.

I think I can propose other two usefull activities:
-design and make in pairs an hourglass
-in pairs make a sundial after watching a video (EXPLORE ACTIVITY -- 5.8 C: EARTH'S ROTATION (Grade Level 5))
Then pupils at the end of any activity test their artifact to see if they work

properly.
With pupils of grades 5, I would try to use Stellarium.

According to me, what is interesting about these three videos, other than the subject of the lessons, is the different teaching/learning approaches that the three teachers used in their classrooms, which, I think, can be synthesized as follows: learning by doing; cooperative learning; inquiry based learning. I think these are new types of methodology that should be applied in our classroom, because they are all students-centered, putting the learners at the centre of their process of knowledge acquisition. In my classroom (where I teach English language and culture), I'm trying to implement especially the cooperative learning, because my students show difficulties in cooperate one with the other. During my lessons, I always try to make them the real subject of the learning process, because I want them to be active and to think by themselves and built their own knowledge, even if it can be sometimes overwhelming! Another important think is to let them "construct something" - even if in a metaphorical way (because I really don't see how the "learning by doing" approach could be otherwise used in teaching English) - for example in formulating new sentences and speeches, making and rehearsing dialogues, translating or organizing role-play activities.

There is too much worthy information that is given by these precious teachers. I have never thought using Stellarium with this way. It was used for imagining Viking time and sky view in that time. It is really creative way for me and I am looking forward to use it with my students with this way.

These kind of flexible teaching strategies (like inquiry and discovery learning) are too useful even for special needed students. Because Helena Capela indicated that she did not use any other method for making them motivated. And she added that lesson plans that are shaped with these strategies are interdisciplinary. They support fields are connected each other. Do these kinds of projects or lessons are designed like this could support teacher collaboration.

Also, there is important information from Melpomeni Dimoulka’s video. Nowadays, students prefer scroll on tablet or smart phone to turn pages of a book. It is a arguable situation but they use this tools just for social media. They are born with this but they don’t know how to reach knowledge with ICT tool. I learnt one more thing from Melpomeni Dimoulka. It is “traditional teaching is dangerous”. Of course we need that sometimes but once we used to that, we avoid using new teaching strategies.
