Hello All,
Thought we could have an open ended padlet to gather people's thoughts, questions concerns etc. It also seemed like a good way to get some themes organized for future meetings.

From my perspective, I am happy about starting Love First and I am so grateful to our group for making me aware of this wonderful resource. As I read Colette's book I realize it really does fit in nicely with Sustainable Ministry. She talks about finding the gifts of people in the whole congregation and working toward making a program that meets families needs. This seems to fit in well with thinking about planning for systems that support a lasting program.
I am in the process of reading both Love First and Sustainable Youth Ministry and I look forward to our group discussion to gather ideas and strategies from these resources.
One of the take aways I got from these books is self compassion and patience. We (at Our Saviour) have been going along fine and doing our best but there is an opportunity to make some changes to make what we do even better and more inclusive. Making this shift is going to take time. Setting ourselves up for success means patience and working the process.
