The way a person is born can actually help them become resistant to the possibility of an addiction due to their genes , as a recent study said. The environment around someone such as friends, families and the state of their community can affect whether or not someone will become an addict. Things like abuse, stress, peer pressure and parenting can determine or not drug abuse could be a serious matter. Lastly ones development can affect the possibility of someone becoming an addict. There is also a number of treatment centers in which the patient works on their attitudes and behaviors to help them rid of that craving and want for drugs and are normally cared for a long time.  Also if one is taking medications they should not only rely on those but on other things like physical activities and and therapy.
