The EU STEM coalition is already combining several STEM platforms on EU level. But there are many more actors who could be involved or who might be interested in an exchange. The DG EAC with the DEAP could provide a list with the different actors and finance exchange and support emerging synergies? The point still is, that it would be helpful to fund already successful approaches instead of reinventing the wheel for a new funding project!

https://girlscodeitbetter.it/

Girls Code It Better (GCIB) is an educational initiative aimed at empowering girls aged 11 to 18 by introducing them to technology and STEM fields. The project provides hands-on workshops and creative activities designed to enhance technical and digital skills, while encouraging female participation in areas like coding, robotics, and digital fabrication. GCIB aims to close the gender gap in STEM by fostering interest and confidence in young women, helping them envision futures in technical and scientific careers.

The program is supported by schools and companies and operates primarily in Italy, where it has reached 14.000 girls in its efforts to drive gender equality in the tech sector.

The Commission should establish connections between various existing projects in the EU that focus on girls and technology, while also promoting the evaluation of each project's impact. This approach would not only strengthen collaboration but also enable a comprehensive assessment of the overall progress and effectiveness in advancing gender equality within the technology sector.
