There were some things I already knew, like taking online courses to improve as a professional, or some tips related to the first day of teaching like arriving soon or plan to teach some of the subject content.
In this module I learnt some tips for the first day of teaching like memorizing your students' names before meeting them, so they feel I commited to that class. I also learnt that it would be useful to look for support from other colleagues and stay in contact with my friends from university in order to share ideas. Finally, it was interesting to know that Erasmus organizes activities abroad for teachers too, something that I'll keep in mind in the future.

Many of the things I've heard and read here I've lived through. However, it is only a short time ago that I began to exchange experiences and projects with colleagues from other countries, and I realized how important this is in my professional development and in the learning of my students. Some of the problems I encountered in schools were not those related to the relationship between myself and the students, but especially the bureaucratic part, the constant change of norms and laws associated with teaching in my country, such as school curricula and the hours attributed to different disciplines (which are always changing) or the lack of preparation at the level of initial teacher training on issues related to the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs.

Teaching can be frustrating if we do not cooperate with other teachers and departments. In this respect, finding a good support infraestructure is a good way of unifying different criteria related to objectives, contents and so on. Concerning students and their first day in class, it is necessary to teach them different basic procedures as well as keep them doing some activities (not dealing with key contents) in order to engage them in the teaching practice.

I most like this padlet experience. It's so nice to "meet" other teachers and share your dreams, fears, stories, interests.
It seems like everything we experience is not a personal issue. There's lot of people out there with similar experiences, anxieties and dreams.
Sometimes we feel frustrated and hopeless, forgeting to search for support and comprenhension.

I loved the tips for the first day at school! And yes, integrating in a big community is always difficult for the newcomer, I can back it up from my own experience. I was left alone when I worked in a state primary school, the group leader completely ignored me however I was asking for some advice/ help regarding behaviour problems.

Thank you for each advice. I might knew some of them before, but it is always good to repeat best practices. I also appreciate that some teachers admitted their first year/first years were really tough. My first year was also very tough and I wanted to leave teaching. When I was talking with teachers around me - nobody had problems, everything was OK. I am very grateful for next years at a great school, where my colleagues are supporting me and I feel a part of that school.

I already knew some things from this module, but it is good to hear again, to reflect and see if you are on a good path. But sometimes knowing is easier than doing. I really like the method of an online diary with Paddelt, because I just created a learning diary in this school year but it was only handwritten or on my laptop. So there was almost no opportunity to share my experiences with others. Moreover, I like the freedom to write as much as I want and what I want instead of being tight to specific tasks and word counts.

I also enjoyed the comments of teaching experiences from other teachers as well as the article on advice for the first lesson in a new school.
