sources. Floods can be predicted and sometimes not. In oceans and seas

we have buoys through out the ocean to predict a flood. In rivers, lakes

and other water sources the get measured by scientist often. To prevent

people from dying we can have a high, stable building to go when flooding

is near. Also, we can practice emergency drills incase a flood would have

happened to prepare. In your home when about to have a flood you should

get your emergency kit. You should also board up windows, cracks, etc so

water won't leak into your home. Make sure to protect important papers

and other values that will cost you a lot of money to replace.
