When the customers come into the shop or restaurant you need to find out what their needs and expectations are. How to identify the customer's needs and expectations?

I would like to talk to the customers about what they would like to buy. If a customer tells me what he or she are interested in, I will then tell them if we do have the product or not. If the product is not available or we don't have the product, then I will I would describe the products that we offer and explain to them where else they can find the product about what they are looking for .

For example Brighton pier there, is a restaurant called Brighton SmokeHouse, and a server would ask if you got any allergies to make sure you are served a dish that suits your health needs. And if you have booked

or the shop has multiple floors, you would also ask what they are looking for and which floor is on .

Social Media Listening

when a restaurant or business uses social media to read the customer with reviews and use the feedback and make changes where needed.

How do finding out what a customer likes and make more of them to make the customer happy and enjoy your service.

If the company makes something bad or terrible, the customer will leave a bad review on you .

If the customers like a style or thing they want, a shop or restaurant can introduce that to meet their expectations .

In a comment businesses can quickly get replies to messages or comments, this will help the customer feel heard and cared for .

Customer Surveys .

The customer survey is designed to let the customers do mini reviews of the business and include their true feelings.

in a shop or retail business, surveys can be very useful for understanding what a customer wants, here's how they help:

You could ask people about their favourite products they like or what they would like the business to do differently.

when a customer sees something negative or bad they can report it and then the business can improve from the criticism.

When the customer completes a survey privately the are more likely to be honest about what they love or didn't love .

It is important to meet customers needs because it will help to make the businesses successful and make profit. If People have a positive experience it may leave a great review and they will help them to get more customers . If the customer has a positive experience they may tell their friends and mention in social media which will be good for the business and also it leads to repeat business.

For example: in Brighton pier if the customers enjoy the food in the Palm court restaurant they will tell their friends about this restaurant and that leads to word of mouth and that will make the reputation of the business go up .

.

If people have a negative experience it may leave a negative review which will lead to the reputation of the business being damage and which will lead their customers to go to the competitors and that leads to losing customers and profit. and also customers will stop going to the restaurant.

If the business gets a bad reputation then it may have to close .

However the poor customer service can lead to a loss of loyal customers which directly impacts sales and profitability.

Remembering the customer names and chatting with regular customers

It's important to remember customer names and create a connection with customers, people like being around people they feel that they know . Recognising and remembering someone is the first step toward that personal touch and very few companies remember and use the customer's names.

Employees rarely also chat with regular customer assistants and build useful or helpful relationships by making customers feel valued and appreciated .

There is some example about it

one is friendly and professional : Emphasise that the interaction is both friendly and professional with the aim of creating a positive and comfortable experience .

On Brighton pier in the restaurant by remembering customer names and where they like to sit, it makes them feel welcome and valued and creates a positive relationship.

Responding to individual customer needs means actively listening to and addressing the specific requirements , concerns and preferences of each customer, tailoring your serves or product delivery to meet their unique needs rather than providing one size first all approach . On the fish and chips kiosk on Brighton pier we serve chips in different sizes and customers can call and order in advance so that they don't have to wait and just pick it up quickly which meets their needs.

The key aspects of responding to individual customer needs

Active listening means careful attention to customer feedback its question , and concerns to fully understand their need

Using a loyalty cred system this is could be help the relationship with customer

for example in Brighton pier, there is a fruit kiosk and if you buy two fruits you will get another one for free and there is free food for the child for people with a loyalty card.

1.4 why is it important to manage customer expectations

Customer satisfaction has to be honest with customers and to manage the expectations in Brighton pier Rides if the customer arrives and the roller coaster is not working we would tell the customer before they buy their ticket to give them a choice. makes them feel valued.

Trust Building helps build a good relationship with the customer and make them feel they can rely on you. On Brighton pier in the arcades tell the kids which is the best game and what the game is broken and what games are more fun .

Customer retention is how long you can keep a customer's attention and how long you can keep them in your businesses and spending money loyally. this is important because it is more cost effective than acquiring new customers and building up new relationships with new clients.

In terms of the food Brighton per having a repeat customer is very important because food items become more propeller and this generates more profit for the company/business. This could also creates new opportunities to potentially launch new products on the back of profits from popular items/services.
