Moreover the 'range and suitability' can actually give strong clues to a student but especially a supervisor whether the student has picked a suitable topic with a strong method of data collection.

Group 5 Assessment Procedures

Pathway: go to MyIB → Programme Resource Center → Diploma Programme Assessment Procedures → section D7 (the Extended Essay)
https://resources.ibo.org/dp/works/dp_11162-430807?lang=en&root=1.6.2.40.5

The document is subdivided into 5 sections - Supporting publications, Regulations, Subject Availability, Completion of the Reflections on Planning and Progress Form, Summary of Latest Submission Dates

Supporting Publications includes a link to the EE website
Regulations - the rules for the EE that students and supervisors must follow
Subject Availability outlines which subjects students may choose for the EE, with special notes on Studies in Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, and World Studies (new for this year)
Completion of the RPPF provides a link to the form itself, instructions on how to complete the form, as well as how to submit the EE and the predicted grade
Summary of latest Submission Dates provides the dates by which the EE and the predicted grade must be submitted to IB and the method of submission for each.

How it can be used: this document is mostly relevant to EE coordinators, as it details important rules surrounding the submission of the EE, which subjects students can choose from, how predicted grades should be determined, formatting guidelines for the EE, and RPPF requirements. Students will need to know most of this information, but it probably makes more sense for EE Coordinators to distill it down into only what students at their school need to know. (I think some of the information might be confusing or overwhelming if provided directly to students.) EE Coordinators (and supervisors, if they wish) could use this resources to keep track of key requirements, make sure that all guidelines are being followed, and record deadlines, to ensure student success in the EE.

Where to find the resource (the site, the path you took to find it, the URL)

https://www.ibo.org/globalassets/new-structure/about-the-ib/pdfs/dpcp-provisional-statistical-bulletin-may-2025_en.pdf

B.
