To achieve this, full electric vehicles are needed and policies have to encourage the abandonment of petrol vehicles. Battery technology also has to be capable of higher energy density and capacity to process information and to relay it to surrounding vehicles.

With a fully digital car network, the next generation of latency free communication network (5G & 6G) will enable an enormous traffic network that brings vehicle traffic accident rates to ZERO. Energy wasted at the waiting junctions of a traffic light will also be reduced to ZERO as vehicle will only stop once it reaches its destination. 

Vehicles will constantly update their position and speed information to coordinate movements throughout the journey and maximizing the operating efficiency of a vehicle. (drivers tend to accelerate and decelerate unnecessarily; wasting energy and wearing the brakes)
