The use of portfolio assessment that became popular in the early to late 1980’s in response to the growing clamor for more “reasonable” and authentic means of assessing students’ growth and development in school. There are types of portfolio, The documentation portfolio or growth portfolio is a collection of work over time showing growth and improvement. Next is Process portfolio, it demonstrate all facets and phrases of the learning process. Last is Showcase means it only shows the best of the students outputs and products. Portfolio always needed in school because it a documentary of the students and this it their achievement for being an independent person and to improve their skills.

1. How grades do motivates and/or demotivates students?

They are usually motivating their self if they’re grades is pass, because now a days students will all have a mission to ourself, like example in the grades if their family saw their grades is fail they will discriminate to others students and that is the reason why some of students will stop. But some is motivating more to do their best as they can do.

2. As students of higher educational institution, do you agree on the “pass all policy” of some colleges and universities in times of pandemic? Why?

Yes, I agree to pass all students, because it’s hard to have an access on internet like me I need to go in computer shop to updated everything. Yes I have phone but I don’t have money to load.

3. If you are going to design your own grading system, how will you do it?

For me I will have a lesson plan, to list down all activities they do or they pass to me, and to make an idea to your students if they compile all works.

4. Which do you prefer as reference for grading system, Norm – reference or criterion – reference? Why?

I prefer in Norm-reference, because they will get their grades by his/her performances in the subjects.

5. Do you agree that elementary students should be given a traditional letter mark rather they should be graded based on checklist?

             No
