I would prefer using a combination of authentic materials and materials-activities in the coursebook. Authentic materials are about real life and real language.. The activities and materials in coursebooks can be more controlled, limited and easy to apply.
The ideas can be useful for my classrooms. To solve the listening problems I should look at the source. It is generally about the planning session . Pre, medium and post listening tasks are still very important. Differentiation gives all the students from different levels in our classroom a chance to apply the same activity and so improve their listening skills. I need some more time for planning.🥴
I am trying to do my best..

Most common problem related to teaching speaking in language classes in my district is that my students have some vocabulary knowledge but do not want to use them deliberately..
I hope the ideas can help us. I want to try flipgrid app. to help my student feel relaxed. I can give them speaking duties and want them to record themselves wherever and whenever they want till the deadline..

Today was very productive day for us, I think.. We had a reading task from the grade 10 coursebook. The reading text was enjoyable but the activities were boring for the Ss. We prepared a pre-reading activity to engage them. At first we would give numbers for each paragraph, give them some pictures about blocking words and want the Ss to give number for each picture. Afterwards, we would divide them into groups and give them a paper for each group, asking different questions for gist reading. The questions would be about the passage. Each group would write an answer, wrinkle the paper and throw it to the other group. At the end the answers would be read loudly.
Later, for detailed-reading there were comprehention questions. They were for medium students and good but not suitable for the weaker or stronger Ss. The stronger Ss would prepare some more questions. We would prepare yes/no question for the weaker ones.
Finally, the Ss would prepare a brochure or poster as an organizer about studying abroad (in London) for post-reading.
Using block words provides the Ss predict the contend. Completing a table for detailed reading is a good idea. My Ss like to do it eagerly... And the post reading activities are about production and we can use other skills at that phase.. Maybe a speaking activity..

Implicit/inductive method would be most useful and appropriate in my language classrooms in my area. Of course with CCQ. Because implicit method provides guided and discovery learning environment for the students. The student are not passive.
My colleagues would want to discuss that explicit method would be more applicable in our area. Because our students are accustomed to learn in this way. Yes, I have got some difficulties about that. However, the more we give them chance to discover , the more they learn..

Students can learn if they use a word that means something to them or related to them more easily. Therefore, we can start with the words that are pronounced or spelt similarly in their mother tongue. Teaching the new vocabulary in some interesting way is another useful way. Moreover, the more they come across the new vocabulary frequently, the more they remember them. Using the new vocabulary in context with different activities can ensure adding those words to long term memory.
Students should record whatever they want to learn. Therefore, it is very important for them to use a vocabulary notebook but not enough. They should write an example and produce their own example for each word to use the target lang. Learning a word does not mean learning the meaning only. They should write the pronounciation. And they can add synonym / antonym , write collacation and categorize the word (adj,adv..etc.). They also should study the words regularly.
