It comes with a flat 4 cylinder engine which is boxer style. That means that the pistons in the engine go side to side instead of up and down. These engines are known to make a lot of power if you do some simple modifications to it for little money. One thing that you can do is turn up the boost on the turbo that it comes with it  comes with the turbo boost pressure at 9 lbs but you can turn it up to the max boost pressure that the engine can take which is 14 lbs of boost pressure. Just by changing the tires  you could go rally cross racing or street racing. This car comes with a 4.2 liter V8 already which is nice because you will always have the power that you want or need on the track if you like to race. If you wanted to race this car you could because all you have to do is press one button called sport plus and the whole car changes suspension, steering, throttle, and braking. You can do this with its multi drive select system. You could say that it really doesn't have traction control or ABS because you can turn that off from inside the car or get rid of it completely  by pulling that fuse in the fuse box. If you are more of a driver that likes the feel of being a race car you can choose sport plus mode and that stiffens the steering and suspension, it makes the throttle more sensitive and the breaks are more sensitive. Then you have your economy made for city driving it saves gas and makes it so you ride in the car is smooth.
