The teacher briefly goes back over all of the content that was just learned. There are a few specific strategies for the teacher to follow in order to do this. These strategies include Cloze activities, Summaries, Demonstration, and Questioning.

1. Cloze Activities- Teacher gives the students information the students just learned but leaves out some missing pieces. The students are then asked to fill in the missing pieces.

2. Summaries- The class discusses the information they remember or found important. Summaries can be developed in different ways. Students can write them down, verbally say them in a talk-to-text app, or create a timeline from a template.

3. Demonstration- Students complete a task that requires the student understand the information either by previously knowing about it or learning it.

4. Questioning- The teacher asks questions pertaining to the information just taught. Students may answer with knowledge they just learned or previously knew.

How can technology enhance each of these strategies?

Technology makes learning fun and any strategy can be enhanced just by incorporating technology. Cloze activities are enhanced by using sentence stems using an IWB or presentation software such as Prezi. Summaries are enhanced by giving students several different ways to record and organize information. Demonstrations are enhanced by allowing the students to come up with their own newscast. Students can use a lot of different technology in order to complete this type of activity.
Questioning can be enhanced by creating online flashcards or even playing a game of Jeopardy where the answers are given but the students have to come up with the questions.

Implementation tips for using each strategy

For my lesson I can implement each of these strategies.
1. Cloze Activities- I would make a sorting activity. Students would be able to sort various facts about each coin into the appropriate groups.

2. Summaries- My students would be able to use an audio recording app to talk about what they know about each coin.

3. Demonstration- Students will be able to make a store scenario and use a cash register to add up the various price of different items found at the grocery store.

4. Questioning- I would make a Quizlet for my students to answer. The questions would come up on the smart board and the students will be in groups. Each group will have a buzzer they will push if they know the answer. If they push their buzzer first they get the chance to answer.
