Further more, some people might say that making penny is unidentifiable because it cost more to make them. What they mean is it costs 2.4 cents just to make one cent. However, having production of pennies is important because it still builds up to 700 millions $ a year. According to source 2, "time wasted counting pennies could add up
to over $700 million per year nationwide." This meant that pennies seem like a small amount but if they start to stack up it becomes a insane amount.

To start off, the cost to make a penny is 2.4 cents. However, it will still cost the same to create a dollar in cents, such as how it is around $0.11 to create a nickel. Also, prices of goods will most likely be rounded up, as stated in Sommer's "Penny Wise, or 2.4 Cents Foolish?". This would mean that consumers will start paying slightly more for products, which will slowly accumulate.
