•The assessment can take, on average, between 45-60 minutes and can be completed in more than one sitting.

•Students will see very little multiple choice and will interact with digital manipulatives and tools. 

•They should use paper/pencil--Recommend ALEKS notebook

•“I don’t know” button first click = warning bubble

•As students respond, ALEKS is gathering information based on HOW a student answers, and what prerequisite knowledge was necessary. 

•ALEKS can make inferences on student answers, even if it is incorrect.
