         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before the importation of corn, the Old World was struggling. There was a lack of food in the Old World due to overpopulation and the economy was suffering specifically the livestock industry because the people could barely feed themselves, much less the cattle. Corn provided a surplus of food to supply the population of the Old World and revive the livestock industry.</div>]]></description>
