Sisig refers to a finely chopped pork dish of Filipino origin. The popular cuisine sisig is created from the ears, cheeks, and jowls of a pig, which are then boiled, chopped, and grilled before being seasoned with salt, pepper, and vinegar. The meat is mixed with fried onions, chili, and chicken livers, and a raw egg is typically placed on top of the entire dish.
For added flavour, some chefs like to add mayonnaise or pork cracklings to the meal.

The term "People Power Revolution" typically refers to a series of non-violent uprisings and movements in which ordinary citizens, often mobilized through mass protests and civil disobedience, play a significant role in overthrowing a government or bringing about political change.

When the EDSA People Power Revolution, commonly referred to as the "bloodless revolution," broke out in 1986, the Philippines received praise from all across the world. Every Filipino in that era has a vivid memory of the important national event that occurred on February 25, 1986. By successfully overthrowing a tyrant through a demonstration that did not tolerate violence or bloodshed, EDSA demonstrated the genuine empowerment of democracy. The only means by which the Filipinos were able to escape the iron fists of President Ferdinand Marcos were their prayers and rosaries.

EDSA people power revolution.

This framework has provided me information that I will need to apply in the future for my Nursing Practice. For future Nurses it is important to be aware of our own cultural values, beliefs, religion and tradition and how it may impact the health care that we provide. By understanding my own cultural values it allows me to reflect on my own decisions so that I could provide a flexible and responsive care to people from different ethnicities to interact in a manner that is culturally appropriate.

When providing culturally responsive care to people from migrant and refugee backgrounds it is important to keep in my mind to be culturally sensitive and showing respect to the patients regardless of their background, this could be attained by not being bias, judgmental, ignorant and inadequate communication.

Personally it is important to apply all aspects of the competency standard 12.3 but the most important one for me would be effective communication, by communicating in a well and respected manner and in a way you would both understand, it would lead to a better care provided by Nurses.

Migrant and Refugee Womens Health and partner. Three examples that affects migrants and refugees are:

Social inclusion and non-discrimination
Due to discrimination, immigrants and refugees may not be given access to essential services and resources, which could have negative effects on their mental health and wellbeing.
