DOCTRINAL MASTERY 3 NEPHI 11:10-11: “I Have Suffered the Will of the Father in All Things from the Beginning” (09/25/24 - Wednesday)

1. Memorize and explain

   The key scripture phrase for 3 Nephi 11:10–11 is “I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.” You might mark this part of verse 11 in a distinct way to make it stand out from the rest of the verse.

   Read the key scripture phrase several times to help you memorize it.

   In a previous lesson, you discussed the truth found in 3 Nephi 11:11 that Jesus Christ did the will of the Father in taking upon Himself the sins of the world.

   Imagine that someone who knew little about Jesus Christ asked you to teach what you know about Him.

3 NEPHI 11:18-41 Jesus Christ Declares His Doctrine (09/27/24 - Friday)

“This is my doctrine”

1. Shortly after the resurrected Savior appeared to the Nephites in the land of Bountiful, He taught them His doctrine. This doctrine, sometimes referred to as “the doctrine of Christ” (2 Nephi 31:21), helps us understand how we can follow Jesus Christ and receive the blessings of eternal life. Today you will have an opportunity to better understand the doctrine of Christ and explain it in your own words.

   Complete the following activity:

   1. Study the Savior’s teachings about His doctrine in 3 Nephi 11:31–41.

   2. If desired, study additional teachings about the doctrine or gospel of Jesus Christ, such as 2 Nephi 31:17–21 or 3 Nephi 27:19–22. You could also search “doctrine of Christ” in the Gospel Library app or at ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

   3. Prepare a three-to-five-minute lesson about the doctrine of Christ. Use the template provided below to help you prepare your outline. You could imagine you are a missionary preparing this lesson for someone you are teaching. Or you could think about someone you know and prepare as if you were going to share the lesson with them.

Jesus Christ invites everyone to come to Him and repent. It shows that He is always there to guide and give us hope, even in hard times. Knowing this helps me trust that He will lead me through my challenges.

When I make mistakes, I can remember that He invites me to repent and start again, no matter how far I've fallen.

His willingness to suffer for our sins shows His great love for us and His complete obedience to God's plan for our salvation.

The truth I find especially significant is that Jesus Christ suffered for the sins of the world and fulfilled the will of the Father. This is meaningful because it shows His love and sacrifice for us. He opened the way for us to repent, receive forgiveness, and find hope, no matter how far we may have strayed. It reminds me that His Atonement gave us a chance to change and grow closer to God.

Jesus Christ wants us to build faith in him and wants us to come to him. Jesus Christ shows us that he is forgiving, caring, loving and wants us to repent. I put Jesus Christ in the center in my life and I know that he is control of my life and I should not worry but pray.

Whenever i commit sin, I always think of Jesus Christ so I can have the initiative to repent my wrong doings.

Jesus Christ’s unconditional love to us and his sacrifice for sinners and his obedience to Heavenly Father’s will.

Jesus Christ’s humble heart has helped us sinners as he sacrifices himself for our sins, and followed Heavenly Father’s will as he was sent by Him. Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour has showed us great love to us and that he cares every each of us, and all we have to do is to repent.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and my Savior because His teachings and sacrifices show His love for us. Seeing the positive changes in my life and others' lives when we follow His teachings strengthens my faith in Him. My experiences and the love I feel from Christ help me trust in Him as my Savior.
