Real recording:
1. Time: Monday 17:00-17:50
2. Attendance: 7/10
3. Atmosphere: cold-warm-hot

Advantages:
1. Most of students participate with us actively and know each other quickly.
2. The atmosphere is gradually heated by our guidance, some shy students are willing to introduce themselves and share their own specific experience.
3. The flow is successfully smooth.

Expected future:
In the first week, we invite Jiawen's friends to join us and to table a proposal. They give us lots of useful guidance to help us improve the next week's performance.
1. Use English in the whole session. If there are some new words, we encourage them to use English-English dictionary to look up the word and we can also try our best to explain the word with more description.
2. We decide to take turns on speeching, and when one is speaking, another can work around the classroom, take part in discussion and give directions when the mentees have no ideas.
3. We need to arrive at the classroom early to debug the equipment. Make us look like two professional persons.

Attendance: 6/10

Advantages:
1. Most students read the first chapter in advance and speak English in the whole session.
2. In the last part, we have a section of trivia which introduce some knowledge for them and they show evident interest about the relevant information.
3. We summarize the relationship about the main characters.

Disadvantages:
1. We need to give them more time to discuss the questions. This can help them answer the questions more precisely.
2. They are a little quiet and are not willing to share their opinion.

Expected future:
1. We decide to divide them students into two groups. This may improve the icing atmosphere and their communication better.
2. We also create a trivia part to stimulate their enthusiasm. This part can includes the detective game, movie clip and micro-expression etc.

Attendance: 4/10

Advantages：

All mentees have already read the chapter 2 and we decide to read chapter 3 in the session.

Attendance: 5/10 （2 more friends）

Advantages:
1. We change the holding place to one classroom in IEB which is not booked in that duration. We sit around a big long table. It makes us feel more conversant.
2. Two friends join us and participate in the session. One of them is really active and passionate in the reading circle. With his influence, all others are gradually willing to express themselves.
3. We change the quesitons in the part of discussion. An open-ended question is given to them. It's not about any details in the story. They can talk more freely and imaginatively.
4. We always ask different students for their feeling about the question. They may have stronger participation in the group.

Disadvantages:
1. At first, we want to hold the reading circle outside. However, with our negligence, the weather goes worse at that time. The location is hastily changed.

Expected Future:
1. Next week is the first week to meet them online and we need to motivate their passion.
2. We decide to let all of them open the camera during the session. This may help the meeting like a discussion rather than class.

Attendance: 6/10

Advantages:
1. All students are willing to open their camera and microphone except one student.
2. We find a french film which is called "The Tuner" and let them to discuss about the truth, why the lady discovers that guy is not a true blind person.

Disadvantages:
1. Most time, they all close their microphone off and just look at me and Jiawen to wait the answer.
2. The online meeting needs nice network and proper place. Because there is someone in our meeting room booked in library until 5pm, Jiawen and me only can enter the room at 5pm. That actually delays a bit our session.

Expected future:
1. More active, more participation and engagement.
2. More new patterns about the last part of every week's reading circle, such as games about the detective and so on.

Attendance: 6/10

Advantages:
1. In this session, more students adapt to the online method and they get a little more active and engaged in the discussion part.
2. Jiawen and I advised them to choose a virtual background or upload a photo as their background at the beginning. It makes the reading circle like a discussion rather than a class.
3. In the last part, as usual, we have a fun part. This week, we play a "turtle soup" together and that makes all of them participating in the game. The end of the game really leaves them panting for more.

Disadvantages:
1. In the discussion part, some students don't want to answer or discuss the question and just look at the screen.
2. The network is not always nice enough to hear them clearly.
3. Some students who are good at expressing often talk too more and the other students don't have chance to say something.

Expected future:
1. In the rest weeks, we can have more passion to talk with each other and more communication.
2. We can ask some questions about the character relation to stimulate them think quickly and discuss positively.
