She was from a family that could not afford to pay for medicines and treatments, which cause her to live with her illness most of her life. Olga was not very religious, but one day she went to church to ask God to heal her from her illness, and she in return will devote her life to helping immigrants who were severely injured. After her recovery, Olga realized the kindness and grace of God, and in turn she was inspired to seek out badly injured migrants trying to get to the U.S. and help them. In Nazario's story she is relevant because she is an aide in Enrique's journey. In including this character in the story, the author tried to portray the concept that after a dark night there always comes the light of day.
