As part of the SKILLS WORKSHOP COURSE and with our participation in this e-twinning project, we had a wonderful experience attending the educational program "Show me your costume ... dance with your heart" of the folklore dance group " ERGASTIRI PARADOSIAKOU HOROU DASKALON NIPIAGOGON THESSALONIKIS" .

We learn about the diversity of the traditional costumes of Greece, about the parts of which they are composed and also about their symbolism. Then by playing interactive games we consolidated our knowledge. The presentation continued experientially, as we "felt" the traditional costumes as some of them dressed up, experiencing the entire ritual of dressing. Particularly moving were the moments when some of us wore costumes from the place of origin of their grandparents!

Finally, the program closed with traditional dances and songs but also with the realization that children as a new generation must preserve and also spread our cultural heritage and tradition that we inherited from our ancestors to the future generation!

We heard and danced traditional greek carols "by the fire", we made traditional christmas cookies and wrote down the ingredients of the recipe. In Greece, instead of christmas tree, people traditionally decorate a boat, so we made our own christmas boat.
