Their parents send them on a boat to be the boat crew to try to change their lives. Instead the boat crashes and the kids are stranded on an island with no food, no water, and no shelter. One day she runs into the woods and finds a man drinking water from a spring. The man drinking from the water's mother kidnaps Winnie and brings her back to their house. She soon discovers, from the tucks the people that kidnapped her that the spring , when drunken from causes people to live forever. The Tucks try to keep her from drinking from the spring and falling out of the circle of life.If you want to find out if Winnie drinks the water or tells their secret. He soon discovers that someone was killed in his house named Mrs. Donaldson. He goes over to his new neighbor that told him about it. The boy, Arthur, asks Logan if he wants to solve the mystery of who killed Mrs. Donaldson. Logan's mom meets another mom of one of the kids that goes to school with Logan. The kids mom tells Logan's mother that Arthur is a bad influence and Logan gets banned from seeing him. Logan disobeys his mom and sneaks around with Arthur when shes at work or at night trying to solve the mystery. They come across many challenges and roadblocks in the way. To find out if they solve the mystery of who killed Mrs. Donaldson read Closed for the Season by Mary Downing Hahn. Basil is a mean horrible person. When measles parents croaked they left him with all their money, and a lot of it. Basil takes all of his money and gives none to him. Basil has spent a lot of money and time in the basement building a toy train set. Some days he lets Measle up there but he never lets him play with the toys. One day Measle plans a fake call to get Basil out of the house so he can play with the trains. Measle tells Basil that the bank called he can go get more money but he can't call back because the line was disconnected. So Basil leaves the house. Measle goes up to play with the toys awhile passes and Basil storms into the room mad. He shrinks Measle down with his breath. Measle is 1/2 and inch tall living in a toy train set. He soons discovers that other people were als shrunk and they turned to plastic from eating donut crums and drinking lemonade. Measle gives them real food that he had in his pocket and they un froze. To find out if Measle and his new friends escape Basil's trains read Measle and the Wrathmonk.
