For your Online Critical Reflection ...

Your online critical reflection will be made on a short video interview with the file posted up here. Some people will prefer not to be filmed

and a blank screen and audio soundtrack can be used instead. For each person the questions to be considered and discussed will be the same:

Immediate reflection from the training?
What did you see modelled from the trainer that you will take away?
What will you do now (SMART targets to change practice)?
What was the impact of the changes?

A link to the padlet will be emailed out to all attendees of this training session. Then it is only the hyperlink that will need to be pasted into your online

critical reflection on Blackboard.

I completely agree with the idea that students should not be grouped due to their age. Possibly more of an issue at primary and secondary level but maybe if it is addressed at this age, by college level we could be working with classes better suited to be together.

The idea that we use classrooms is outdated ~many years ago Paul Guiness came to college (teaching guru) and said if students learn better by lying on the floor on cushions, we should allow it.

Dunno what OFSTED would make of that.

I'm wanting to move to a more critical reflection based approach to

learning, this seems like an interesting classroom tool to achieve that.

Timetabling and resource issues hamper the process of learning. Instead of providing more opportunities, the limitations imposed by a 9-5pm schedule takes way potential opportunities

Learners of different ages on Btec programmes is to some extent work-able, however, the issues of safeguarding, expectations and delivery can be problematic
