WHO AM I?

Some of you may already know me, but some of you still don’t. For those who don’t know me yet, I am Julie Ann Celin, but you can also call me "Ann." I was born on the 5th of June 2002, and currently reside in Owak, Asturias, Cebu. I am a second-year Hospitality Management student at Cebu Technological University, Tuburan Campus. To be honest, being in this field was not my first choice. Way back then, I always dreamed of being a nurse, but as time went on, I developed a love for cooking and dreamed of becoming a chef one day. I grew up in a big family with big hearts. Because of them, I became the person that I am today. They molded me to be kind and to become a better person. I learned to value people deeply, as I also value their impacts on my life. I may not be a showy person, but I know how to appreciate a person’s worth. Let me share some random facts that you might want to know about me. I have this unique ability that spreads positivity despite the darkness that surrounds me. People have told me that my laugh is so infectious that even them tend to laugh with me without even knowing the reason why. Since I am a happy-go-lucky kind of person, you can usually see me smiling or laughing despite the challenges I am facing. I love to bond with my friends, especially when we have a deep conversation about life, because it always leaves a big impact on me.

MY BIGGEST FEAR

What I fear the most is losing my parents without paying back their sacrifices for me. I am very close to my parents and siblings, and I really appreciate everything they did for me. From loving me unconditionally, for giving and providing me my needs and wants in life, and for doing anything just to make me happy ever since when I was young up until now. If the Lord grants me a successful life in the future, I’m afraid that my parents might not be able to witness it. I am afraid that maybe they won’t experience buying the things they love with my hard-earned money. It hurts me to think that I won’t be able to give them a comfortable life. We all know that death is inevitable, but I just hope that I can repay my parents’ sacrifices for me while they are still alive. Aside from that, I also fear that I won’t be able to make it. I’m afraid that I might not be successful in the future. But I trust Him with all my heart. I always keep in mind that I should trust the Lord and myself that I can do it because I know that nothing is impossible with Him. I just have to persevere, strive hard, be kind, and pray that everything will be in the right place at the right time. I will do my very best for the sake of my parents and for my future. I will never let my guard down, and I will be brave enough to face trials no matter what life may throw at me. Because I believe that it’s all about the mindset of a person, I just have to believe that I can so that it will really come to me.

WHAT KEEPS ME GOING?

My family. They are my top priorities, together with my dreams and goals in life. The reason I remained firm and strong is because of them. At my worst moments, my family was around to rescue me. They became my anchor, and I know that they will always be. And just the thought of that means a lot to me. They keep me motivated, and they inspire me to be brave enough to handle things and to do my very best to reach for my dreams. They are the ones who keep me from going because they bring out the best in me and trust me. They are willing to help me get through the most disastrous and best times of my life. And I am also willing to do good things for their sake and my future’s. Even if I face difficult battles in life, I won’t surrender until I give them what they want and the life that they deserve. No matter what life throws at me, I will stand still and face it firmly, because that’s what they taught me. I will forever carry everything they have taught me because I know it’s for my own good. I believe that our parents will never teach us something that will bring us down. I am forever thankful to my parents for raising me well. I would not be who I am today if it weren’t for them. They really played a vital role in my life because they molded me to be a better person. All of my hard work, sleepless nights, and perseverance are dedicated to them.
