However, environmental barriers, including a lack of familial support and the slow legal process, contribute to her emotional distress. 

The urgency of her case is high, requiring immediate psychological intervention, legal advocacy, and a stable support system for her recovery and reintegration into society.

Overall, the underlying problem of the case revolves around child abuse and neglect stemming from family dysfunction and parental mental stability

At CRIBS Foundation, she is slowly finding stability and learning how to cope with her traumatic past. Additionally, Sarah's emotional struggles may hinder her ability to reintegrate into society without structured intervention. She is determined to finish her studies in order to become a soldier one day. However, Karen admitted that her emotions goes over her at times. She is honest with her feelings and she is eager to understand and manage her emotions in a positive manner.

Her situation is urgent, necessitating psychological assistance, legal support, and a reliable network for her recovery and reintegration into society.

Lalein demonstrates several strengths that can aid in her coping with her problems. She has the ability to form strong friendships, which can provide her with social support and positive influences. Additionally, Lalein has a passion for dancing, a creative outlet that can serve as a therapeutic tool for emotional expression. Her interest in learning, as evidenced by her participation in the ALS program, shows that she is capable of growth and development despite her challenges. Furthermore, Lalein has a strong sense of self-reflection, as shown by her ability to recognize her mistakes, such as when she acknowledged the wrongness of her actions during a conflict with a fellow child-client. Her determination to improve and desire to escape the cycle of relapse further indicate her potential for positive change. These strengths, when nurtured, can help her develop healthier coping strategies and overcome the difficulties she faces. However, her emotional immaturity, sensitivity to rejection, and tendency to use aggressive coping strategies when frustrated are key weaknesses. Growing up in extreme poverty resulted to Dustin’s neglect and trauma. He experienced the suicide of his mother and was later abandoned by his father, who was also imprisoned for child maltreatment.

Dustin also struggles with the lack of education and proper skills for survival. Due to dropping out after Grade 1, Dustin cannot read and write, making it difficult for him to find legal means of survival. Dustin’s exposure to crime, substance use, and negative peer influences in his community shaped his maladaptive/deviant behaviors. In the absence of education and skills, he learned to depend on illegal means to survive. His mild intellectual disability, poor impulse control, and conduct disorder further contribute to his behavioral issues. 

Without a stable support system, Dustin has no one to depend on. His grandmother, though initially his caregiver, can no longer financially and emotionally support Dustin. She tried to transfer custody and send Dustin to the province, but Dustin’s father did not consent, forcing Dustin to be stuck in his situation.

The possibility of resolving Anjelie’s situation depends on finding a stable and supportive guardian who can provide her with a safe and nurturing environment. She has expressed a strong desire to be with her maternal relatives, particularly Anabelle Flores. Her cousin, Hannah Ojeras, also expressed willingness in taking care of her once she graduates from her studies. While her younger siblings have a potential placement with their father’s side.
