Literature isn't just a subject that you learn for the sake of studying; it's a door that opens you to various opportunities.

Indeed, it may feel like something new, but it really does broaden your mind. With literature, you are introduced to various genres of work of various eras and authors, and each work contains beautiful, worthwhile messages that you can learn from.

Your perspectives on the world will change for the better, you will be able to understand people and their emotions better, you will be able to hunt down certain symbols and hidden Easter eggs in movies and shows! And what's better than finding out clues from a movie before your friends?

A spark of creativity will burst within you, I can assure you that, and this will result in wonderful stories, poems and even artwork - why so? Well, literature is not just a subject; it is a way of expressing yourself and understanding others' expressions.

If you're a confused little 10th grader, trying to balance out the pros and cons of whether you should take this subject for IGCSE or not, trust me when I say this: it's definitely worth the experience and the knowledge.
