He focuses on various modern issues in society and discusses them from an Islamic and philosophical perspective.
This podcast was important to my assignment as I was able to learn about values, morals and ethics. I learnt about the psychology behind human nature, which was important in my characterisation and in the implementation of values and culture into my creative text. I was also able to learn about his journey as a medical student and in his doctorate in neuroscience.
This source was limited as Dr Ghilan discusses values from an objective view and his journey in medicine from a personal view, and does not specifically delve into any topic. Rather, he gives a broad and simplified analysis of each topic.
Dr Ghilan has analysed and discussed a wide range of topics in terms of modernity, human values, morals and ethics and medicine. This has provided me with useful knowledge I have implement into my creative piece when exploring the values of my character, and his medical practice.
