They were able to give them to the soldiers and they were able to have an advantage to killing people and gaining more ground.

Industrialization lead to the technological advances of WWI that affected the course of the war by creating telegraph communications, machine guns, and tanks. Telegraph communications helped people communicate in the trenches across their side. The machine guns were a fast and dangerous weapon that could fire many rounds which was a major threat to opposing sides. Tanks were used to attack the enemy while being protected inside the machine. These technological advances from industrialization had a major impact on World War I.

During the war different styles of guns and weapons were created, trenches were used more efficiently, medicine had more of a chance to evolve, yet it took the price of many dying. You had people making new communication tactics to give commands to their commanders on the war front. It all ended up making war more efficient and advanced with the new technology. Though it was brutal, it caused effects for other wars which lead to more advances.

Industrialization allowed for the overflowing supply of the new technology that was needed during the war (ex. telegraph equipment, machine guns, barbed wire, grenades) to be successful. The example mentioned above were constantly used and needed during the war and the continuous making of the same technology over and over again is bound to get some scientists and engineers wondering of new ways to advance the already successful machinery/tools. The telegraph is now a telephone; machine guns are one of the most basic formats of a gun used into today's military forces; barbed wire is now used on a regular basis in standard prisons )and even just places wanting to keep people from going out and in overall); grenades (still used) morphed into atomic bombs with the ability to destroy entire cities in one blow. All in all, the continuous making of the technology needed during WWI set a basis for many technological advances that are present today, whether in the military or simply daily life.
