SPECIFIC: For this term, my main goal in Math is to have a final grade of A+.

MEASURABLE: To make sure that I'm progressing to my goal, I will make sure to record all of my scores in a notebook or Google sheets in order to easily compare my current scores to the previous ones.

ATTAINABLE: I would personally say that this goal is possible is isn't completely out of reach. In order to achieve this goal, I will try to stop procrastinating and start following a strict schedule. Furthermore, I will ask additional help from my classmates, parents, sister whenever I'm struggling to understand a lesson. I believe that anyone can secure an A+ if they are dedicated and have enough time to do so.

RELEVANT: I've always wanted to work in the field of Mathematics since I personally enjoy solving problems relating to Math, and I believe that having a grade of A+ in my report card would hopefully help me land on my dream job. Furthermore, having a job like an engineer will certainly make my parents proud and make my life fulfilling and productive.

TIME-BOUND: From my observations, this goal would probably take the entire term to fulfill due to the difficulty and dedication needed to score an A+ in a report card.

SPECIFIC: I have to admit that the mere chance of me getting a final grade of A+ in Math is extremely low because by observing my grades, I feel like they aren't high enough.

MEASURABLE: I started to finally use a notebook that properly labels my quizzes and their respective scores. This has really helped me in not only determining if I succeeded in all of my SMART goals but it also gave me the motivation and joy by simply seeing how I progressed and improved.

ATTAINABLE: I tried to follow a proper schedule but I unfortunately gave up. I also tried to stop procrastinating which worked since it offered me some more time where I'm not stress or exhausted. However I eventually succumbed to procrastination and it really affected my dedication to this goal since I would always feel unenthusiastic and tired. Fortunately, I'm trying my best to not procrastinate by small increments like instead of doing a given assignment during the day of its submission, I will accomplish it before a day or two before its deadline. I also reinforced the habit of asking help from others in my life. It really helped me to progress towards this goal.

RELEVANT: I would say that this goal has been attained in a some ways. I feel extremely motivated to get an A+ in Math but in some days, I would feel unambitious and lazy to do any sort of progress towards this steep goal. Overall, I made this mindset of always celebrating and appreciating any sort of progress even if it's small or seemingly redundant.

TIME-BOUND: Although I made significant progress this term, I feel like an entire term isn't enough really. Maybe I did not put enough effort in actually progressing but I believe that I need more time to actually achieve an A+ so I would say that this goal isn't complete.

Amongst all of the lessons taught in Math, the one that I struggled the most are polynomial functions specifically functions that have a degree of 3 or more. This is quite difficult for me due to the sheer amount of times you need to do synthetic division in order to factor out the entire polynomial. Especially when the "q" in rational roots theorem does not equal to 1 or -1. Fortunately I eventually got used to doing synthetic division by simply trying it out on sample problems during my free time. This really helped me understand how it works and overall made my journey with polynomials much easier.

During the 2nd term, I tried to study with my fellow classmates and help those who struggle with Math. Studying with my peers really help me in my studies since as a group we can solve any problem easily which will give us new vital information or ways to solve similar problems. Giving help to those who struggle with the subject also increased my proficiency in Math by testing my skills to understand and state what I'm doing to get the answer to a problem.

The task that is in my opinion shows my dedication and proficiency in Math the most is the 2nd long test about geometric and arithmetic series and sequences because it's the only long test that has a perfect score in the 2nd term. Furthermore, the last problem of the test somewhat confused me but I as read and analyzed it, I realized that my first understanding of the problem was wrong and I quickly changed it. Although I had some doubt in my 2nd answer, I still had confident it was right and fortunately it turns out to be correct.

I would say that my biggest misconception of the 2nd term is when I thought that the bigger the coefficient of variance, the less disperse the data set is to the mean. I probably got it the other way around since I wasn't paying that much attention during class when the coefficient of variance was thoroughly explained. Eventually I realized my mistake when we were given homework about coefficient of variance. I was unsure of my answer so I went and researched about it in the internet and asked helped from my peers. Now that I know and understand what the coefficient of variance shows, I was able to easily complete my homework.
