Character trait: Stubborn.

The quote Mama: “Son, how come you talk so much ‘bout money?” Walter: “Because, it is life, Mama!” Mama: “Oh—so now its life. Money is life. Once upon a time freedom use to be life—now its money. I guess the world really do change…” Walter: “No—it was always money, Mama. We just didn’t know about it.” p. 74 "

Stubborn : The quote shows that he is stubborn because in this Walter is asking what is "Mama" going to do with the money. Walter wanted the money that Mama got when her husband died to invest the money in the liquor store. But at the end it shows that Walter's "best friend" told him that he would invest the store for him but ended up running with the money anyway. He also showed he was stubborn because
"

I do no sympathize the character Walter because he is very greedy and stubborn and he lost the money his mom gave him by letting his friend take it by thinking he was going to invest in the liquor store but really took his money. I think Walter is a good person and a bad person at the same time because the good side of his is caring for his wife and family but the bad side about him is that he is very stubborn , greedy, and he gets drunk a lot by drinking every night.

The lyrics relate to the character because in the song it says " she"ll lie and cheat and beg you from her knees" to me it means that Walter has cheated through money trying to bribed his mother to get her money from when his daddy died.

The theme from the book " Raisin In The Sun" is class/ money. 74 " relates to the theme by how Walter is talking about money. He says that money is life. Mama says in the story that it use to be freedom now there's money involved. She also talks about how the world changes and involves around money.
