PK is a Bollywood religious satire film. In the movie, the alien PK lands on Earth with his remote control for his ship, but ends up getting it stolen by a thief (who sells it to a godman named Tapavasi). Along his journey to reclaim his remote, he learns how to live on Earth, questioning basic human ideas and practices along the way. The movie more centers on how he questions our religious superstitions and rituals logically showing us how everything that we believe about God actually ends up being complete nonsense on so many levels. Through humor, it shows us our flawed thinking and attempts to explain to us that we should rethink our beliefs about religion and the practices that we follow to worship God(s). Obviously, that would be intended for the improvement of society so that we are not so illogical and don't judge others based on whatever religion they may be a part of, so it becomes satire.
