The Shang dynasty is famous for using Oracle bones. At least 100,000 Oracle bones have been found and recovered. The kings, officials, etc used these to ask questions, and the priest would answer and translate them.

The Zhou dynasty is known for their use of iron. They thought that iron is cheaper and stronger than the bronze they were using. They used iron for many things including, armor and weapons and at a strength that bronze could never reach.

This period had a very strong army that would help them in battle. They had lots of troops making them extremely strong and large letting them win any war. This gave them many advantages in any war.
