1. What is an Input Device?
  • In computing, an input device is a peripheral (piece of computer hardware equipment) used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system such as a computer or information appliance. Examples of input devices include keyboards, mouse, scanners, digital cameras and joysticks.
2. What is an Output Device?
  • An output device is any piece of computer hardware item used to communicate the results of data processing carried out by an information processing system (such as acomputer) which converts the electronically generated information into human-readable form.

3. What is a Storage Device?
  • A storage device is any computing hardware that is used for storing, porting and extracting data files and objects. It can hold and store information both temporarily and permanently. It may also be known as storage medium.

4. What does Memory mean?
  • Computer memory is any physical device capable of storing information temporarily or permanently. Memory can be volatile and non-volatile memory. For example, Random Access Memory (RAM), is a volatile memory that stores information on an integrated circuit used by the operating system, software, and hardware.
