         <description><![CDATA[<div>Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells are adult cells in which have been genetically reprogrammed to an embryonic stem-cell like state; forced to express genes important to maintaining the properties of embryonic stem cells. Upon research, in 2006 Shinya Yamanaka discovered how iPSCs were produced.<br> Yamanaka produced the iPS cells (Murine ES like cells lines) from mouse and skin fibroblasts. Yamanaka then insterted 4 transcription factor genes. Thus, resulting in the reprogramming of human cells with the ability to poses similar morphology/growth characteristics by expressing ES cell-specific genes.<br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
