Greta Thunberg is a 17 year old young lady that lives in Sweden. At age 8 she became aware of what climate change is and became very sad. She refused to talk and often times eat. She stopped buying unnecessary things. In August of 2018, she decided that she was going to sit in front of the Swedish parliament and protest. She made a home made banner. She was alone but stuck with it. Soon other Swedish children as well as kids from other countries heard about Greta and began holding their own protests.
In 2019, Greta was invited to a climate conference. Instead of flying, she choose to sail on a boat to America. The journey took her 14 days. She ate freezer dried food. Even at such a young age she continues to work hard to fight the battle against climate change.
