Strategies of how to promote Self-Efficacy in the Classroom:

Strategy 1: Teach a student how to take notes effectively. A teacher can teach the student a specific learning technique, for example how to take notes. The teacher will create a presentation on a certain topic, then provide the students with a note outline of what they should know on how to take notes. This will include how to know what is important, how to listen to the teacher while writing down notes, and how to summarize things into their own words. As the students go through this certain topic presentation, the teacher will show the students how to take their notes. This should be done at the beginning of the school year and revisited if need be. Also, the teacher can provide an example of how their notes will look from a previous student who took the class.
Strategy 2: Partner Pairing. Allow the students to choose the peer of their choice when they will work in pairs. When students work with someone of their choice, they are more likely to succeed. The work should be divided equally and students can sometimes pick their topic for pair work. This can also be tied into allowing them to make their own choices.
