The topic is "the benefits of Hospice care".  I currently work at an assisted living facility and have 3 patients on hospice. Being able to work hand and hand with a hospice company I have learned so much about the benefits of hospice, but when researching I have learned so much more. The most important thing to know about hospice is how to make the patient comfortable, while the dying process progresses. Most people when they hear the work Hospice, they think that people are dying right away, but that is not the case someone whom has '6' months or less can be on hospice. The Medicare requirements have been stricter over the past few years, it is sometimes hard for patients to be accepted.

I have my own 3D printer at home and I have dealt with many projects for functionality and some projects just for fun. 3D printing is a whole other world in the workplace, as it is not for a fun project but rather a very important tool in prototyping parts. It is important to recognize the importance of the benefits that this tool brings such as lower cost of prototypes, and how fast a prototype part can be made.

My audience will be local restaurant owners and restaurant Chefs. I want to encourage more restaurants to make Farm to Table connections with local farmers. Farm to table restaurant connections help to boost and support your local economy by keeping the money flow local. The farm to table connection will also encourage healthy eating by using vibrant, fresh flavors that didn't need to travel far or be genetically modified to last a long shipping process. The farm to table movement can have a very strong impact on local communities and more restaurants and Chefs should strive to make those connections with local farms.

So far in my research I have found cooking/baking can be meditative. The simple and repetitive nature of recipes can be very calming and ease any negative thinking. All the different textures of the flours and sugars, the sounds, and most importantly the smells stimulate the senses which in the end increases feelgood endorphins. Psychologists have also found a connection between  overall wellbeing and being creative.

The audience for this project will be Business owners. The topic I chose for this project is the need and importance of using social media to establish a presence on the internet. Social media is the fastest growing marketing strategy. When used correctly, it helps reach a broad market at little to no cost and allows the business to advertise as well as engage with customers. When new customers look for information about a business, they often do an online search to verify their legitimacy, find reviews from other customers, and to see how the business is doing in general. Business owners can use social media not only to advertise but also to share their values, logo, brand, contact, hours and other relevant information as well. Social media allows business owners to speak directly to customers and understand their wants and needs. By not having a social media, they are only missing out and alienating themselves from the same people they are trying to reach.
