Listening
We learnt several things about the listening activities. For pre-listening, we will have a good preparation. We can ask questions about the text. While-listening activities, we can use true-false activities, circle the correct Word exercises and multiple choices(especially for stronger students). Post-listening activities, we can prepare a material related to listening text, ranking, discussion.

Students are afraid of being judged by their teacher and classmates. they don't have a chance to use the target language outside the classroom. The activities done in the classroom are not enough for students to relate the real life situations as they are limited. We use flip today. I think it is useful for my classroom. We can give encouragement at first and then we can make something as a whole group. Later, we can do some groups in the clasroom. They can perform their own levels and then we can make work in pairs. Students feel themselves in a safe zone. Students start from a big group to the small group. They can improve their quality day by day. Results don't be the same. We used paper_slide today. This is beneficial for them. We prepared papers with drawing pictures and each one of us presented our sheet. Then we made a video and watched it, commented. We can use it in our classroom. They can prepare their own sheets, so, they feel themselves more comfortable because they create it voluntarily, they can make mistakes but we ignore them sometimes. Today is so good for me. I learnt mant things. Thanks :)

Pre_reading: We can ask prediction questions. For example: Do you know that who invented the telephone? or Do you know that who are they? We can use some key words while they talking to me about the people. Then, they can read the text. We can ask about questions about when was Alexander Graham Bell born? or When did Fatih Sultan Mehmet conquer İstanbul? What didLouis Braille explore? For the detailed task: we can ask true-false questins. For example:Did Alexander Graham Bell find the telescope? or students can complete the sentences with the right word. For example: Louis Braille found..........(a system of dots/telephone) As the post-reading activity: we can use role-play. For example: A student will be Fatih Sultan Mehmet and he tells his story, his autobiography and write it on the board.

I think skimming and scanning are so closed to each other. We can realize that which activity is for scamming and which activity is for scanning? We can see the differences between them. So we can make a better ordering in the lessons.

I think, snack writing is the most appropriate in our local context because students can feel themselves more productive. It gets a lot easier to start working because students feel themselves more comfortable while writing. They write freely. Snack writing's aim is not perfection. I think its motto is I'm transforming waiting and stresfull time into writing time :)

2) I think, my colleagues would be most interested in snack writing because we didn't know it exactly what is it. But now, we can use it in our classrooms especially for weaker students. It gives encouregement to our students for writing something. Also while they are writing something, we can walk around the class so students can feel relaxed in every situation :)

Morning Session: I think learner-centered approach is quite good for language classrooms because students find many things with their own. Students can make more mistakes but they are productive in this way. Perminent learning is important so, if students create some rules and practice this freely, they can adopt this way lovely. Learners answer questions to check their pronunciation. Learners work out the form and meaning of the new language. Discovering, memorable, time and meaningful learning are the important elements for this approach. 2) I think, in a PDC meeting traditional grammer methods are discussed because these methods are so boring. This traditional method is teacher-centered so there is a controller in the classroom. Students get bored everytime in this way. It is appropriate for weaker students so stronger students can not benefit from it exactly I think.

Afternoon Session: I think the most affective vocabulary teaching in today's session is concept checking questions. Students find something with discovering. Students don't require long answers and don't contain difficult language. I t can be used in the classroom and have fun.
