Hello everyone! My name is Gema, I'm 23 years old and I have been teaching for 3 years now.

I like: carebears, mymelody, I LOVE PUMPKIN SPICE, and I also enjoy reading!

I don't really like: celery and raw garlic 🧄

My hobbies are: reading, of course (books, webtoons, mangas, etc). I have a ton of activities that I do in my free time but I don't practice them enough to call them hobbies, like knitting, painting, etc.

Why did I decide to become a language teacher?

I decided to be a language teacher because I always knew that I would be one! Since I was a little girl all I wanted was to teach. I also had many incredible teachers that inspired me to become one. I think I have what it takes to be a teacher, plus I am willing to work on whatever I'm missing.

I started working right in the middle of the pandemic! in 2021, out of necessity and also because one of our teachers asked us to make observations. I started teaching with a group of middle school teens, and quickly realized that I loved it! Then I got adult groups, and I found out that they are soooooo different. I have also had kids and kindergarten groups, but out of all the groups I've had I think I love middle school and elementary school groups the most!

What do I expect in the future?

I hope I can continue teaching! I would love to teach in kindergarten again, even teaching Elementary schoolers would be awesome.

Teaching is no longer my goal, studying literature is, but teaching was my first passion and still is to this day. 💗

The importance of teaching development

Teachers must be up to date. I think teachers tend to forget that with each generation that comes students change, and we as teachers have to learn how to overcome the challenges that changes bring with them.
