The why of my project is to see how different fire retardant materials affect how combustible wood is. The whole point is to see if there are any easy ways to treat wood when building a house, to prevent/slow your house burning down. To do this, I will see how each fire retardant substance protects the wood, then see if any of the fire retardant substances that react the same, have the same ingredients. After finding out what ingredients continually work the best, a new fire retardant treatment could maybe be developed.
