         <description><![CDATA[<p>Many of the DPOAE graphs we looked at in class showed positive and negative peaks at the end points (highest and lowest kHz) making a sort of S-curve shape, so I am a bit confused with the peaks provided in the data from the tables being situated around 2-4 kHz which would be somewhere more central. I'd love some clarification as I'm not sure if I've got that all wrong. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I was just wondering if I could get some extra clarification on the DPOAE report assignment as it is still quite confusing to me even after having read the FAQS. I understand that we are making up our method entirely based on similar existing literature, but how much of our hypothetical information would be too hypothetical. For example, I have seen research papers mentioning different pre-screening tools to assess the participant's ear prior to DPOAE data collection. It seems fitting to add these pre-screenings to the report as it would make it seem more realistic (and beacuse you mentioned that our method section required more detail than what was presented on the FAQ sheet), but they also seem too out of the scope of this assingment as we have not yet learnt about them so it is difficult to accurately apply them to this task.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Also, in the data table, were participant's hearing condition (normal/abnormal) deduced &nbsp;before or after testing for their DPOAEs?&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>And one last thing, is the overarching question we are trying to answer in this report how precise DPOAE assesments are at indicating/predicting hearing loss???&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>For participants with DPOAEs present in one ear but absent in the other, there is no peak frequency provided for the ear with present DPOAEs. Do we then make up a peak frequency? Or, do we just focus on the affected ear for that participant?          <description><![CDATA[<p>Just to clarify, are we not presenting the report as though we did the experiment? I have been writing mine as though I did the experiment and obtained specific results. As in, this is what I did, here's how the results were recorded, participant X had an average DPOAE of X dp SPL, etc. But it sounds like it was meant to be more of a hypothetical, here is how these studies are done? </p><p>Is it okay if we are doing it the former way?</p>]]></description>
