Youth day carnival : set up stations that relates to the youths, making the event more interactive and fun for the youths to participate in. e.g. we will have a big piece of paper and the students can decorate it with words of encouragement and also with some SCs/teachers to supervise

Instead of classes by classes, we get to bond as a school (SCHOOL SPIRIT! -tjx)

Through the events, like the game stations and contributions related to the event can bring the students together and forge stronger bonds with each other

The event will look like a festival all about the empowerment of the youths of Singapore. There will be booths about different important youths such as Greta Thunberg

Instead of a presentation there will be a mini carnival with booths of different empowering youths from all around the world.

There will be students of Yuan Ching will be inspired by their role models and will strive for excellence by following their footsteps.

we have been doing speech/presentation? Which is very boring and won’t capture people’s attention and interest

it helps to boost and promote our school spirit, and allows students to bond with each other more and in terms of sc it could be helpful the school spirit department?

During Youth Day we can conduct activities such as talent show, Interactive games which can be organised inter class-ly.

Student Councillors will be the ones leading the programmes, and they will all show their love and appreciation to their teachers. Teachers and students can participate in events together.

sports interclass with the teachers : a team requires a minimum of 2 teachers with a few students involved in the game. We can also have photo booths with the teachers

usually our teacher days is just our SCs giving gifts, making the school students doesn’t bond with the teachers. We can really get the teachers to have fun and bond together

The students will start to get close to the teachers as during normal school days, they barely talk to the teacher outside of lessons. They will also be more confident to ask questions in class, as they are close to them

host a internal teachers award ceremony nominated by the students

the teachers get more recognition and appreciation

The event will look like a grand ceremony/celebration showing our appreciation for our dear educators.

instead of organising a student concert, we can have a segment, the teachers where teachers can perform their hidden talents

Our exuberant Yuan Ching students will be exhilarated by this stupendous concert and will be enraptured by the jaw dropping teachers talent show

Each class can come together to organise their own games like kahoots and food. The class can also create decorations for their classrooms to welcome their lovely teachers❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕💕 into their class. Which will all be facilitated by the students to give the teachers a break. To show their appreciation for their teachers classes can conduct class performances such as skits and dances and singings.

The teachers can rest and bond with their students and have a wonderful time as a class’s. This can also increase the overall bond and teamwork as a class as they work together to plan Teacher’s Day as a class. :)

Carnival after school (similar to purple parade but Youth Day themed),

It’s different from the previous one because we didn’t have a carnival and it was just a presentation which may not be clear that we’re actually celebrating the youths thus the carnival can bring up their spirits

Purpose: to embody the true purpose of Youth Day and to celebrate our youths by for their contributions to society

By setting up a carnival, this allows students to celebrate and be proud of themselves to be young adults transitioning from children

extension of memory book idea- create a book collage of thank you messages and print out photos

Notebook for each teacher where each page is filled with letters written from the students

It will be a half day that day so that the teachers will have a nice and relaxed day that day. The class committee will present some activities for example. “Who knows the student better” or crossword puzzle. The students can go in the class and hide away from the teachers so that we can surprise them properly.

instead of the usual concert in the hall, scrap that idea.

Keep class celebrations but allow teachers the freedom to pick how they want to celebrate ( e.g rest time )

Different departments can pick what kinds of gifts they want from sc.

I think Youth Day would include a talk for youths, workshops and interclass activities where students from different classes are in a group doing activities together

I think this would get the attention of students

It shows that schools appreciate students by giving them a fun filled day

I think there would be a lot of performances where students sing songs and perform dances for their teachers and their own class parties

Can get both student councillors and peer support leaders to lead the programme

Students get to show their appreciation to their teachers and recognise a few teachers for their efforts
