Why do people abandon their pets? People usually abandon their pets because they can't afford for the pet, the bad behavior of the pet, and moving problems. This shows that pet abandonment isn’t a rare thing, it’s everywhere. For example, if people can’t afford food or a house for the pet, the owner usually donates the pet to a shelter or they just leave them in the street to fend for themselves. Also, if the pet has really bad behavior, always biting and scratching their owner, the owner will abandon their pet to a shelter so the people at the shelter can deal with pets problems. Finally, people also abandon their pets because of moving issues. When aggressive pets are abandoned they will attack anyone who comes close causing injuries. Also, road incidents can happen such as pets getting hit by cars and pets damaging cars. Finally, another problem is the breeding of strays. If owners abandon their pets without them being spayed or neutered, removing a part of the pet’s body so they don’t breed, it causes breeding between strays leading up to more strays. 
Did you know that when two strays breed they create a street animal, born on the street and has never been owned.
