The reason why not impeding on other people's rights is a key part of civics is because of how it is part of one's duty as a citizen to protect their rights and the rights of others. Assignment 5.2 really helped me to understand this concept. This is because of how it highlighted why we have to respect the rights of others.

3. Civics is... exercising your responsibilities and duties as a citizen (Assignment

The reason why exercising your responsibilities and duties as a citizen is so important to civics is because of how without doing your part, the government would become corrupt and civic responsibilities would be abandoned. Assignment 5.6 helped me understand this concept the most. The reason for this is because of how it showed me how others felt about their duties and it made me realize how passionately I felt about later fulfilling my role as a citizen by participating in the government, through voting, etc.

1. Civics is... knowing what your rights are (Assignment 4.2)

The reason why knowing what your rights are is an important part of civics is because of how as a citizen, it is essential to know what you are and are not allowed in order to rightfully carry out your duties. Assignment 4.2 helped me to understand this concept. The reason for this is because of how it explains the entitled rights of all citizens according to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

In conclusion, civics is knowing what your rights are while not taking away the rights of others and participating in the government by sufficing one's duties as a citizen. Civics is a key concept to learn because of how in the younger generations, which includes myself, people often do not understand such ideas and how significantly it may affect them in the future. Overall, I feel that this course was very insightful and it had inspired me to do what I can to contribute to the government while also educating others. The only way that change can be seen is if everyone is informed and equally driven.

Using these various Web 2.0 tools has taught me to use words that will catch the reader's attention. It has also taught me to keep ideas more brief in order to ensure that viewers are still interested. I also learned that to further improve such projects, visuals are key because they can often convey much more than what words can explain.
