African Americans use a different language that is called Gullah. It is mixed with their own language and English. African Americans have trouble communicating with each other because they make u their own language so they decided to speak English. 2. They eat fried okra, yams, and hopping john. 3. They like to sing and dance around a fire for their African traditions. 4. They sing the blues when they are sad or depressed. There is a pattern for the blues they sing. It's called an "A, A, B pattern." It's when they sing the first line twice and the last line a different sentence. 5. When African Americans were slaves, they built their houses out of bricks. 6.
