Ruby was the only black kid at an all white kid school.  Ruby was lonely all by herself in the classroom.  Ruby prayed for bravery ever day. 

Ruby Bridges is important because she was the first little kid to be a American hero.  Ruby was a role model for other black kids. She helped make it so all kids could go to school together no matter what their skin collor is.
