I will post pictures of what we do in class (games, art craft, songs...) so you can have a look with your child at what we have been doing !

Today, we listened to a new French song : Tout le bonheur du monde, by Kids United.
We revised how to say what you can/cannot do with a listening activity.
Then, we learned how to ask questions to get to know other people, and what they like. In order to practice the questions, we went to interview 3 other staff members in Alliance ! Merci Monica, Kelly and Marion who kindly answered your questions, and well done to you 3 for doing a great work !!!

We also practiced the conjugation of 4 different verbs :
- HABITER (to live)
- S APPELER (when you say your name)
- FAIRE (to do/make)
- VOULOIR (to want)
(Textbook page 3 + Activity book : 2C and 2D page 3)

As homework, you can listen to the attached audio tape and practice the pronunciation of these verbs by repeating after me :) !

Today, we listened to the interview of Malicia page 4 in the textbook, and answered the questions at the bottom.
Then, we observed the structure of the questions and filled in the attached worksheet on question words.
We then filled in 3A page 4 in the activity book.

Well done Chloé for catching up so quickly, and thank you boys for helping her understand what we did on Leçon 4 ! :)

During the lesson, we first listened to some French songs and to 2 dialogues from the textbook.

Then, we learned about the adjectives to describe your feelings, and how they are spelt differently for boys and for girls.

Well done to all of you for completing the exercises with such concentration and implication !

We also looked into the names of countries and which ones go with "LA", "LE" or "LES" ; you understood the rule very quickly ! Bravo :D !

For homework, you can complete the activity in your Cahier d'activités and revise the vocab of "Les adjectifs"

Today, we corrected the activity in the cahier about the countries :

The names of countries that end in an "E" are feminine, except for Le Cambodge, Le Mexique, Le Mozambique and Le Zimbabwe.

When you want to same that people speak French IN one country, it then goes :

EN France, on parle francais.
but
AU Québec, on parle francais.

With countries that are masculine (not an E ending) but start with a vowel, you have to go :
EN Iran.

Then, we worked on how to say that we want/don't want to do something because we like/don't like it or the place where we do it :

Exemples :
J'ai envie d'explorer ; j'aime les grottes !
Je n'ai pas envie de marcher ; je n'aime pas la foret.

We then acted the "bande dessinée" from the textbook : well done to you 3 for being great actors, playing the part of Alex (Armaan), Zoé (Chloe) and Ratafia (Stefan).

We finished the lesson with a giant "memory" outside, with flashcards scattered everywhere :) ! Bravo Armaan for finding 6 cards! And bravo Stefan et Chloé ; you did a great job too! Very good memorisation everyone :)

A la semaine prochaine ! It will be our last session together so I will bring some "bonbons" to thank you for being very good French students this term !

Today was the last class of the term, and our last class together too :) !

I have corrected your tests and will pass them onto the teacher who will be teaching you next term, along with the reports which I have printed off too.

You did very well in the test, you understood all the objectives for each activity, and completed them very cautiously, with very few mistakes ! Bravo à tous les 3 !!!

I hope that you thrive in your French learning as much as you have through this first term of 2018! :)

It was very pleasant to have you in class, you have been very good at participating and learning everything we have covered! Iwish you all, Chloé, Stefan and Armaan, the very best for the future :).
