Kak Laila (Customer Service Officer) took me to the Administration Office to meet with Encik Mohd Amin B. Ismail (Administrative Assistant). There, I was explained a little bit about the unit that I will be joining. After the discussion, I was taken to the evaluation unit office and met a face to face with Mr. Che Pasli B. Che Mustapha (Assistant Evaluation Officer) as my supervisor for the industry training this time. In this first week, I was taught to use the assessment and rental tax system, how to issue bills and write MDM bin stickers by Puan Adawiah Hj Hassan (U19 Assessment Assistant). I was placed at the rental assessment tax counter as a trainee there. In addition, beside serving the customers present, I will fill in the data for assessment tax accounts below RM50 in 2022 (arrears). Alhamdulillah, I managed to record a total of 748 assessment tax account data for this first week.

Where in the first week, I was a bit clumsy and slow in processing the system and for this second week I felt more efficient and effective while handling the requests of the present customers. So customers don’t have to wait long to get tax bills, rental bills, and trash can stickers. For account replenishment, I managed to record a total of 821 data. Plus, I can now learn something new about how to answer questions that customers often ask

A lot of new knowledge I learned from all the staff here. They were very friendly and kind to me. From the job prospect, I got an additional task from Mr. Che Pasli that I was asked to make a loan repayment schedule for Shariah -based cooperatives. I also completed the task immediately because it needs to be presented next week. Next, to fill the account, I managed to record a total of 660 data. For this week, many customers came to the counter to pay rent, submit tenders and apply for store rental at the kiosks offered by MDM.

On 28/3, I was called by Mr. Che Pasli for a presentation my work. Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly and well. Boss Pasli was satisfied with my presentation and asked me to prepare 15 sheets of pamphlets, powerpoint, excel documents to facilitate the process of presentation of al-Qard products that will be used during future Board meetings. Alhamdulillah, I have prepared everything. Next, this week I managed to record a total of 623 account data at once having completed the account data recording assigned to me during the first week. In all, 2852 data points.

MDM has set a new return schedule where we will return an hour earlier than usual. This week, the number of customers present to make tax and rent payments is slightly less than usual and this situation is said to be normal especially during the month of Ramadan as other colleagues said. After completing the data recording, I started making adjustments by checking the total arrears of the 2022 assessment fund for taxpayers.

Auni has successfully updated last year’s adjustments and balances within 5 days by checking a total of 10375 units of accounts. In addition, I also learned to record data for E notices in Excel. I was taught about preparing letters and bills to be sent to a client’s home. This has become one of my favorite activities right now because of its process which requires meticulousness and patience during its implementation with other colleagues. Work relaxed but thorough.

I also went to follow an outside operation which was a file opening session to retrieve data of homeowners who will be taxed on their residences. I was assigned to take pictures of the house at every corner as evidence of the report. In addition, I was able to get to know more deeply about the Machang urban area.

2. Students dare to take up the challenge given. I was interested in asking him to prepare a Shariah -based loan repayment schedule. Last Thursday, Auni presented it to me and I was very pleased with the result of her work.

2. Able to communicate with customers well. In the past Auni had to call other staff if a customer asked something, but now I see Auni is able to explain it well. If she really doesn't know, then she will call the other staff.
