As Jonas is chosen to be the 'Receiver of Memory', I associate the colour purple with him as it reminds me of royal families (nobility), rarity and power. He is trusted with memories no one else can bear, setting him apart in both status and emotional depth.

Jonas reminds me of a dolphin as he is sensitive, intelligent and social. As he gains memories, he becomes more emotionally aware and starts to crave the human bonds his society suppresses, especially shown in his care for baby Gabe.

Hayley reminds me of a dog because she displays qualities of curiosity and loyalty. The reason for this is because throughout the book, Hayley constantly is acting questions and going into places she shouldn't in order to find out the truth. I view her as loyal as well because of how she cares about Celia, even to the extent that she and Celia have developed their own little language.

For Thomas I resemble him with red as he shows courage and takes action when it needs to be taken. He rescues his fellow glade member and try's and get his memory back, two things that haven't been done by any other members

I chose a tiger for Thomas because of his unwavering bravery and selflessness, displayed particularly in the scene when the walls were closing in on Minho and Alby and he ran out in a split second decision even though he knew he was endangering his life by being outside the Glade at night.

I associate Vincent with the colour, blue. This is because of how his qualities seem to tend to stem away from typical dystopian protagonist characteristics, which usually have patterns of being selfless and caring for others. Vincent, on the other hand, seems to care more about his ambitions than other people. The reason I have chosen this colour for him is because even despite majority of the primary colours being warmer tones (red and yellow), blue is the only one of the three main primary colours that has a cool tone.
